My September Babies

These are just some funny pics I took of Finn.  He played with this almost empty bottle all day.  This is one of the best parts about LA so far is the Dr Pepper that is found everywhere!  It hasn't helped me to stop my soda habit, but it is so delicious. I think Finn would agree, if I ever let him have any. :)
I took these pictures of Kalli for her baptism invite.  They are taken just at the bayou by our house.  She looks so grown up and I really can't believe that I have an eight year old!

Kindergarten Graduate

Kalli's graduation was really fun. She had a poem memorized that she had to recite all by herself, a dance to perform and her diploma to receive. The Puerto Ricans made such a big deal about kindergarten graduation that you would think that these kids were winning a Nobel Peace Prize. But it was really nice to have her Aunt Mindy there and Ben was able to come back from Pittsburgh for the day. (Thank heavens for flight benefits!) The best part of the pomp was when Kalli took the microphone and said,"I need everyone in silence." She wanted to make sure that EVERYONE was listening. We thought that her precociousness had reached a maximum, but learned after that her teacher told her to say it. At the end of her poem she received the loudest applause. They were impressed with her English;) This year of school has been one of trials and triumphs for Kalli and her Spanish is coming along great and she is looking forward to first grade. We are so proud of her!

Family Carnival

These are some picture of the family carnival at Kalli's school. Her and B. just love rides. They don't get scared , never cry and always want more. Maybe se have been to Disaney World too many times?

This is Kalli and I and her favorite ride is behind us. It is like the parachute ride at Lagoon. It goes around and around and around and when I went on it I thought that I was going to die. It was rusty and rusty and rusty and honestly the scariest ride I have EVER been on. And Kalli told me that she rode it by herself earlier in the day! I think that I will keep her home from Family Carnival day next year...

This is Kalli as she came out of her classroom and saw Papa outside. Her teacher was really cute and covered her eyes so it would be a surprise.

The Hound Dog Chick...

This is Kalli and her partner.
This is the ending pose from Kalli's dance. The boys played the air guitar and the girls were "amazed" at their musical abilities.

This was her favorite part of the dance. They weren't even embarassed to hold hands. They both thought it was really fun to do the twist.

Kalli and her "Pink Ladies" and the "T-birds"...

Her favorite pose from the dance!

Kalli's Kindergarten Hop

Last month Kalli had a Fin de la Semana Familiar (Family Weekend) at her school. They had carnival rides and some of the kindergarten kids danced on Friday night. My mom and dad were able to go to it. So it was so fun to have some of her biggest fans there to cheer for her. The dance was so cute. I guess they had so many compliments on it that they are going to do it at the kindergarten graduation too! I was so pround of her and she just LOVES to perform for the audience... I don't know where she gets that from?
