Cute Finn

Just some random pictures of the baby.  I love how skinny he was at two months and then how fat he got in six weeks. He was gaining a pound a week there for a while. And on the way to Kalli's Spanish school there is this restaurant called Finn's, so I took a picture of the sign.  And then I put him in B's Aggie jumper to have some school spirit...Go Aggies!!

Then we tried to feed the baby some cereal.  He love it and did a great job.  Everybody wanted to try. Kalli, Bronsen, Daddy and even Papa, had to have a go at it :)

Bronsen's Birthday

Bronsen is 5!!!!! I can't believe how the time has just past at lightening speed.  It seems like I was just rocking him to sleep while singing, Here Comes Santa Claus (his favorite lullaby). This year I decided that he was going to have a monster truck cake.  It is my job to come up with the ideas for things and Ben's job to execute it.  So it was with this cake.  Ben carved it and frosted it according to B's color choices.  A true 'Cake Boss'.  Ben is so particular with things that cake decorating just fits.  But I thought it turned out great!!
But like his daddy Bronsen is meticulous and likes to do things well.  He is in school and he is excited to go to school with Kalli next year.  He loves to play Lego Indiana Jones and he still loves to cook. His grown up tastes include Chinese egg rolls, french onion soup and pastrami/Havarti sandwiches. And trying to get him to eat PB and J or mac and cheese is impossible!  Go figure? He wants to be a Ninja-Chef-Spy when he grows up and he can draw like a pro. His attention to detail always amazes me and he is the best big brother.  He always wants to help and he keeps Finn safe and germ free:) (he likes to wipe of baby toys and baby's hands) Brosnen finally got a bike this year and likes to ride it. He loves hanging out with his best buddy, and cousin Ian. He loves words and letters. He is reading about 30 sight words and can sound out most 3-4 letter words.  He is so smart and enjoys life and learning. I am so glad to have Bronsen as my big boy!

Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas came and went just like it does every year.  The kids loved everything they got, even thought Kalli asked for a remote control spy car (hey, it keeps with her tradition of asking for things that a 10 year old boy would want) and Santa just couldn't find one.  But whe was happy with her boosk and pillow pet.  Bronsen asked for spy goggles and a Wii game. Finn was left a pink Bumbo seat, yup, PINK!  I guess Santa uses his spy cars to match presents to genders ;) But it was fun and cold, and we missed the beach VERY much.
Our Annual Jacobs' Family Hat Exchange was the highlight of Christmas morning.  This is a really fun tradition that gets all the adults and kids involved.  It is also a great way to keep Christmas dinner exciting and keeps everyone laughing!  We draw names and then make a hat that represents that person in some way and give it to them Christmas Day. Explaining what each hat means would take too much time, so as a reader use your imagination! Merry Christmas!

Only in My Dreams?

Our dream house, in our dream neighborhood, by our dream school, in our dream city and 5 miles from our dream residency....Is it too much to ask?  Cross your fingers, rub some bellies, but say lots of prayers!!
