So here we are playing catch up for 6 months!! These are some random pics of the kids in Fall of 2011. The kids went to a neighbor's Totally 70's b-day party all decked out, Bronsen lost his first tooth and was an Indian for Thanksgiving at school, Finn became more of a Daddy's Boy as Ben's hours got crazier and crazier, and the kids fell asleep on our deck while Ben and I (I held the flashlight) changed the break pads on the car. They were too afraid to be in the house alone...funny kids!
Kalli had a great first half of the year. She made straight A's both terms and got to have a Free Dress Day and Cowboy Day for being on Honor Roll. She also won an award for her grade in the American Heritage Poetry Contest. Her poem was:
Basbeball is American as Apple Pie

"Strike one, strike 2, strike 3, You're out!"
The bleachers are filled with fan who shout,
and the next at-bat has to count.
He comes to the plate and fixes his hat.
He tightens his gloves and picks up the bat.
The crowd shouts his name and he says, "How about that!"
He hits the ball and starts to run.
He rounds the bases, he's having fun!
He slides into home and the ump shouts, "You've won, you've won!"
Now the mitts are off the bats, "good-bye,"
but to win the game you have to try.
And always remember...baseball is American and apple pie!
Bronsen also had a great first half of the year. The kindergarten at his school has these fun days like, Rodeo Day, Louisiana Day and Beach Day. I got to dress up with him for Rodeo Day and do a "Cow Pie Toss" game with them. Then we went to Math Night and ate some Jambalaya...yum, had an LSU Spirit Day at school and B also won in the poetry contest for his grade. His poem was about his great grandfather, Grampy.

My Grampy was a soldier in the Navy on a boat,
His ship got hit by airplanes and it did not stay afloat.
He made it safely back to land where he finished out the war,
He is an American hero, even though he is ninety-four!

You're kids are growing up so fast. I can't believe Kalli's poem!! Wow, what a smarty pants, and Bronsen as well.
I've been looking for DAYS for new blog photos! YAY! ! ! ! They're finally here! We miss you all so very much but it looks life is good!
