Kalli's 8th Birthday!

This year we all were very excited for Kalli's birthday. She turned 8 this year and was so excited because she could get baptized. We had made a paper chain so she could count down the days until her birthday. She really wanted to get baptized on her birthday, but Papa wasn't going to be able to make it that day. So she decided to wait so that my dad could come. So on her real birthday we had her friend party instead. We went to the park by our house that has a splash pad, a covered playground and plenty of room to run.  So the kids splashed, ate lunch, had a scavenger hunt, pinata-ed and ate cake.  Kalli said it was her best party ever!  My favorite part was playing Heavy Heavy Hangover with the presents.  Not one kid at the party had ever heard of this game!?! They thought that I was crazy telling them to hit Kalli on the head with their present!  Where did this game come from anyway?  Does anyone else play this game at birthday parties?  But the kids had a blast and it was super fun!

On September 24th Kalli was baptized.  She was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents and a set of great grandparents there to celebrate the day with.  Her Abuelo, Ben's dad, and I gave a talk and Bronsen sang a song. It was such a special day and I was so proud of her.  It was such a special day for our little family.  Thanks to the family and friends that were there and we missed those of you who couldn't join us. Congratulations Kalli!
