Kalli Wins Award!

So as a parent I am allowed to brag about my children.  Especially on my own blog.  This time it is about Kalli.  She entered a contest, called Reflections, that is sponsored by the PTA.  She wrote a story and she, and only 4 others (out of over 60 submissions from k-6 ) were chosen to move on to the region level.  It was awesome!  She read her story in front of the entire school and got a medal and a certificate.  She was super excited!
This award comes on the heels of an award she got two weeks ago, Student of the Quarter, for her class  She earned that by being excited about learning.  And she got a free meal at Cafe Rio!  (That was my favorite part.)  So all my worries about PR school and Spanish slowing her down were just that...worries.  She is doing great and is still improving her Spanish with Spanish school twice a week, after school.  Her Spanish teacher loves her accent!
I am very proud of her and am so blessed to have her in my life to help teach me. She is so friendly and outgoing.  Congrats Kalli!

That is awesome! (We aren't in PR anymore. We moved to AZ at the end of September. Sorry I didn't respond sooner!)
